Jonathan Smith
Chief Executive Officer

Jonathan is a former Commissioner of Police of the Bermuda Police Service. With a Management degree from the University of Maryland and a Diploma in Criminology and Police Studies from Cambridge University, UK, he was trained at the highest levels in both Canada and in the U.K. He brings a strong work ethic and a focus on problem solving and addressing client needs. Jonathan brings with him many years of strategic leadership, security-sector and disaster planning and recovery experience. As the former Director of Operations for Bermuda’s Emergency Measures Organisation (EMO), he had a lead role in the development and implementation of disaster planning contingencies for Bermuda and directed Bermuda’s operational resources in the aftermath of the 2001 terrorist attacks in the USA and Hurricane Fabian in 2003. He was involved with other Caribbean Commissioners in some of the preliminary planning for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. He chaired or co-chaired with the FBI working groups on FireArms and White Collar Crime in the Bermuda-Caribbean region. He was awarded the OBE in 2007 for his service to law enforcement.

Tim Smith
Executive Vice President

Tim brings a wealth of business experience to Central Filing as he has managed and led A.F. Smith – the office people, a leading supplier of office supplies, furnishings, office solutions and digital solutions for many years. Tim holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Richmond, is a former Member of Parliament and Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly. He served as a Government Cabinet Minister during the mid-late 1990’s and is the former chairman of the Board of Works and Engineering, former chairman of the Bermuda Human Resource Association, former Vice President of the Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) and former Council member of the Bermuda National Trust. He brings his commitment to excellence, problem solving and sharp customer focus to Central Filing so as to ensure that you, the customer, is completely satisfied.
